Crime and punishment

I think learning about justice systems was really interesting because it made me understand how complex they are and how each society deals with crime in different ways. In my opinion, some types of punishment are not always fair or effective, since they don’t really change people’s behavior or help them reintegrate into society. I believe that justice should focus more on prevention and rehabilitation rather than only punishment. It also caught my attention how laws can vary so much from one country to another, and how culture shapes what people consider “justice.” Thinking about the causes of criminal behavior helped me realize that crime often comes from deeper social problems, such as inequality or lack of education. This topic really made me reflect on the importance of creating fairer and more human justice systems.
